The year – 1999. Working as a graphic designer and mac operator back at Ascot Signs, I operated a printer that used ink cartridges in the form of a rewindable cassette. The opportunity presented itself when I realised I could  re-print with these “recycled” ink cartridges. I also wanted a dog for a pet at the time, but my living circumstances did not allow for this.

Instead of buying a tamagotchi, I decided to make my own “recycled” pet.
